Artistic Statement
As a performer I desire to be a part of projects that are politically advanced and that will push towards a better social change in our society. All of this is possible through devised and original work.
It is something that I think everyone should try and I place a vast amount of respect for those who have produced their own projects. To me it shows you can solve problems and work on a multitude of levels.
We have the power to make people notice negative behaviors, reflect, and change. We also have the power to make someone else feel seen and heard. I aspire to be involved in that change/empowerment and hope to give audience members a story they can relate to along with providing them the chance to leave a stronger person.
